We are excited to introduce the Fidelis Blue Endowment Legacy Program—a new initiative focused on sustaining what matters most: our people and our students. The Compensation Fund and the Activities Fund are donor-selected endowments designed to provide long-term, meaningful impact. Each donation is permanently restricted, with earnings distributed annually to support designated needs. To ensure continued growth and sustainability, 20% of annual earnings are reinvested back into the endowment. Our goal is to welcome 100 Fidelis Blue members, and by joining in 2026, you help strengthen the long-term impact of this important initiative. Every gift given today grows and supports our tomorrows.
Staff Compensation: The Staff Compensation Fund provides direct compensation to faculty and staff. On average, RCCSS salaries are 20% lower than those of the Rapid City Area School District. Fidelis Blue contributions will generate annual support that provides additional compensation beyond base pay—helping us attract, retain, and honor the dedicated educators who serve our students each day.
RCCSS Activities: Each year, nearly $500,000 is required to operate our activities and athletics programs. Of that amount, $180,000 comes directly from the general operating budget. The Activities Fund has the power to shift these dollars back to the general operating budget. As the endowment grows, it can fully fund activities and athletics—allowing tuition dollars to be redirected to priorities families care most about, including teacher compensation, curriculum, technology, campus safety, and facility improvements.
