Counseling & Student Support
Counselor: Mr. Aberle
At St. Thomas More Middle and High School, we recognize that students have different needs as they navigate the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual challenges of adolescence. Mr. Aberle works closely with our students and families to provide support, encouragement, and a welcoming environment where students feel known, valued, and heard. Our counseling program is designed to make support accessible to every student, with our counselors available to help students work through challenges, build healthy relationships, and grow in confidence and resilience. While we may not have Taco Tuesdays at STM, our counselors’ doors are always open and ready to welcome students whenever they need someone to talk to, a listening ear, or additional support.
Counselor: Mrs. Holly Carchesio
At St. Elizabeth Seton (SES), our Counseling program is designed to support the “whole child” by integrating a comprehensive social and emotional framework through a distinctively Catholic lens. We believe that every student is a unique gift from God, and our mission is to support and encourage them individually as they navigate their academic and personal journeys.
A cornerstone of our community-building is our “Taco” Bout It Tuesday initiative, a fun and engaging way for students to socialize and foster new friendships while eating lunch together. Beyond the classroom, we are committed to partnering with families by providing parents with the necessary outside resources and guidance to ensure their children thrive both at school and at home.
Support Across Our Campuses
Mrs. Carchesio and Mr. Aberle work together across our RCCSS campuses to provide consistent support for our students. Both counselors will be available throughout our schools, ensuring that students have access to a trusted adult and the resources they need, wherever they are in their educational journey. Together, they help foster a safe, supportive, and faith-filled environment where every student is encouraged to grow in mind, body, and spirit.
Safe Environment
The Safe Environment program was redeveloped in 2014, to ensure parents of a more comprehensive and research based approach to keeping their children safe. We welcome all volunteers, but require all who will have contact with our children to complete several steps:
- Complete the online Safe Environment training and background check through CMG Connect
- Read the Sexual Abuse Policy (return last page signed), and
- Read the Code of Conduct (return documents appropriate to your volunteering).
